GOOD GOVERNANCE

The Batehachas’ Foundation is an independent, nonprofit organization based in Buea with a network of programs that promote community development in the country.

Social policy may be embedded in economic policy explicitly aimed at direct government provision of social welfare, in part through broad-based social services and subsidies, provision of education and health services, social security and pensions, land reform”. Such policies can only take place within a political framework of real participatory democracy and good governance at both the national and local level.

 Peace, Leadership and Good Governance are critical prerequisites for environmental management and economic prosperity. Batehachas’ Foundation, through this project, focuses on local peace, leadership and governance and target youth. Our interventions include training and capacity building through coaching, mentorship and incubation on peace, leadership and governance. Activities such as sports for peace, festivals for leadership and camps for good governance are undertaken under this programmatic intervention.
